I guess if you are reading this it’s because you are thinking of lessons for yourself or for a loved one. That’s great news! You can trust me to do the best job I can possibly do.
From hitting pots and pans to playing concerts with Sir George Martin and everything in between, it’s been a pleasure and a privilege to be on this musical journey. To jump in and out of different musical situations and add a little something to them is a gift that I will never take for granted.
My journey from pupil to teacher has seen me amass an immeasurable amount of drumming knowledge which I am keen to pass on.
Having taken weekly private lessons from age 13-19 with various Irish teachers, I decided I needed to move abroad to further my drumming education. I moved to London to study drums and percussion at Drumtech, Europe’s premier contemporary music college. It was in these years that I truly learned how to pass on information effectively as a teacher.
From having masterclasses with the likes of Steve Smith and Dennis Chambers to studying piano and Afro Caribbean percussion rhythms, the knowledge gained through these years has been invaluable to me, both as a musician and an educator.
